Abstract | Object tracking robot concept is one that has been tried and tested successfully to solve industrial and consumer grade applications worldwide for decades. This concept is highly used in running events where it is used to follow players and also in commercial drones for people tracking. Most tracking robots are controlled by computer via serial communication. A new method of controlling is by using Raspberry pi which will do the processing part on- board. Robot movements can be done by dc motors and servo motors and all the movements have been done automatically. Robot tasks are being monitored by the computer. In tracking applications, image processing tools are involved to perform noise removal, ob- ject filtering using hsv, edge detection etc. There are advanced software’s available for image processing such as opencv libraries. |
