Abstract | Development of football robots is a research area which combines knowledge and learning’s from many fields of study. At its core is the machine vision system to recognize and process the positions of all the players in the field and next is the wireless communication which is capable of reliably sending and receiving data between multiple nodes simultaneously. Finally PID position control systems control the positions of the robots based on the data received and enables the robotic team to accomplish various tasks. In this project two football robots have been developed who are capable of all three main football related tasks, the tasks being goal scoring, ball passing and defending the goal. |
