Abstract | Biomedical Wireless Communication enables transmission of physiological signals between different locations located at a distance. The latest milestone in the field of Biomedical Wire- less Communication is the use of Meandered Microstrip Patch Implantable Antenna for ac- complishment of communication objectives. In modern times, patch antennas are garnering phenomenal scientific interest for integration into Radio Frequency (RF) enabled bioteleme- try and implantable medical devices. The reason behind patch antennas stupendous increase in demand is because of its salient features which include conformability, flexibility in de- sign and shape. Implantable patch antennas design has received unparalleled attention for dealing with various issues. These issues pertain to biocompatibility, control equipment, in- sensitivity to detuning miniaturization and patient safety. The aim of the research paper is to provide an insight of implantable antenna design and its related use, and highlight processes for overcoming challenges and broadening of existing literature. |
