AbstractIn the field of telecommunication, the idea of Low Power Wireless Area Network (LP- WAN) has brought revolutionary change for more efficient communication. One of the vital schemes of LPWAN is Long Range Radio (LoRa) which has made the communication sys- tem prone to more energy efficiency, less latency and bit error rate, more mobility. The Internet of Things (loT) concept is becoming very popular for the next generation of communication system. Using the cross layer module which is basically combining two or more layers of OSI framework to get better performance, the idea of loT has become very popular. This paper shows the connection of Io'T devices with LoRa, using the CSS-CDMA scheme. All the parameters of LoRa has been considered in order to get the results. The project focuses on both urban and rural areas which have been differentiated by using different distances and gaining factors. The project emphasized on the factors like- received power, spreading factor, bandwidth, signal-to-noise ratio, bit error rate, energy consumption and compared the relation between each other. The project does not include any hardware im- plementation, the calculations are purely based on the simulation in MATLAB
