AbstractThis study aims at analyzing the socio-economic environments, governmental regulations/policies related to FDI and telecommunications in India. And with this result, tries to discern the difference and similarity between India and South East Asian countries. Owing to the new industry policy, adding to its rapid economic growth, big potential market, abundant natural resources and human resources, recently India has attracted attention from many MNCs. MNCs are expanding their businesses around the world and regarding FDI as one of the critical methods of entry in the foreign countries. The key to successful FDI is identification of the host market and its environment and accurate analysis of the market factors and risks, adding to its advantages and disadvantages. The conclusion have been drawn and recommendation for the improvement of FDI environments and governments policy/regulation and for the better opportunities to the Korean companies which are planning to invest in India Finally, limitations of the study and further research directions are addressed.
