Abstract | The military avionics system has developed from centralized to integrated, distributed processing. The LANs are adopted for high reliability and high performance of military avionics systeni.. The topologies of LANs are also discussed. Data buses are important component of the LAN. Currently the approach lies in bus structure of MIL-STD-1553B that is wire technology. However, for support the future development of the standard that result in the addition of fiber optic technology through the proposed MIL-STD-1773. The modulation scheme is being the key technique used to implement the fiber optic data bus. The MIL-STD- 1773 and its modulation schemes which are already proposed are presented and discussed. The modulation schemes for this standard are investigated to see the efficient one. |
