AbstractImportant schemes for curve modeling were considered on the present study. These include Lagrange, Bezier and Ball approaches. Relationships between Lagrange cubic curves and Bezier cubic curves as well as Ball cubic curves were established. These relationships were obtained by expressing all the cubic curves involved in the Hermite form. By means of the polar form approach, the study showed that a rational Ball curve of degree n is also a rational Bezier curve of the same degree. Relationships for obtaining the weights and the control points of the corresponding rational Bezier curve derived. The reverse conversion was also obtained. Finally, a recursive algorithm for computing points on a rational Ball curve was devised and its complexity was provided.
