| Abstract | Websites are one of the most important points to disseminate information and interact with the outer world for an organization in the process of digital transformation. Having a quality website is crucial to make a positive impression among its users and drive the digital transformation smoothly. While the Government of Nepal has an ambitious plan on the digital transformation of the different sectors including health, there is not any study or institutional effort on doing a quality assessment of Nepalese websites. This research study has been conducted to fill that gap of website quality assessment in the context of Nepalese hospitals. By utilizing the Web Analysis Method- a comprehensive method of objectifying the website's components and score them at the component level, this study has ranked the Nepalese tertiary hospitals with 100 or more bed capacity. Besides the ranking, this study compares the quality of websites between government-owned vs. non-government owned and profit-oriented vs non-profit oriented hospitals. In addition to this comparison, it delves down to the functional level and shows with data that Nepalese hospital websites have a pretty large room to work out in terms of functionalities to level up and catch the speed of the website evolution as well as to contribute towards the national goal of digital transformation. |
