Abstract | Purpose – The purpose of this research is to study the impact of emotional intelligence and perceived transformational leadership style on the job satisfaction of employees by exploring the dimensions of emotionality, self-control, sociability, well being of emotional intelligence and perceived transformational leadership style. Methodology – Data were collected using questionnaire-based survey among 270 respondents who were non-managerial bank employees of commercial banks of Pokhara. Questionnaires were adapted from various sources. Hierarchical multiple regression analysis was used to test the five hypotheses. Findings – Well-being and perceived transformational leadership style were found to have a significant positive impact on job satisfaction of employees. However, emotionality, self-control and sociability had no significant positive impact on job satisfaction. Recommendations to improve well-being of employees and to develop healthy transformational leadership style were made to managers of the banks.
