AbstractThe purpose of this study is to provide a better understanding on problems in Cambodian import/exp01t. An attempt has been made to find out the problems in Cambodian trade from the Government side and the importers/exporters (companies) side and other export promotion concerned. By using questionnaires and in depth interviewing with some Cambodian government officials, import-export company managers or representatives, using the past and current data and taking into consideration trade policy of Thailand and Singapore, recommendations for the Cambodian Government on Trade and Industrial Policy, related organizations and private companies were made. The scope of this study is to analyze the Trade and Industrial Policy of Cambodia, the main focuses are on tariff and non-tariff barriers/impediments and find out the ways to solve those problems.
