Abstract | A true CIM system needs an effective integration plan not only for hardware, but also for inter- departmental (inter- functional) and intra- departmental ( intra- functional) interaction. Unfo1tunately, in the existing " CIM systems the Integrated Planning & Control system" are excluded. The current work is an attempt towards achieving integration of MRP II and the Statistical Process Control Systems (one of the IPP& C sub-systems). In this study, a simulation model has been developed to represent the Statistical Process Control sub-system of a manufacturing system and output (scrap rate) from the simulation model is loaded into the interface. By using the available information from the statistical process control , MPS is adjusted in the interface program. Then, adjusted MPS is prepared as database file by interface program for applying to the MRP explosion preparation. |
