AbstractA feasibility study to evaluate the viability of undertaking an ecotourism development program in MFR at Los Banos was conducted. Perception of several groups affected by the program were looked into and substantiated with secondary information. In the study it was found that the ecotourism project in MFR have a minor difference with the ecotourism concept that has invited many countries to adopt the strategy. This must have led some supporters of ecotourism to believe that there is really no difference between the tourism being practiced in the area and the proposed tourism. This has also affected the feasibility study to a certain extent and has directed the suggestion to focus more on a clear understanding of the development program.
