Abstract | The objective of this study is to develop a decision framework model for decision support system useful for selection of a new campus location. However, there are conflict of criterion, infrastructure constraints, economic status, social status and education factors, are taken into consideration. In this study, an analytical model for selection of location for new campus is developed. Both qualitative and quantitative data are involved. Therefore, the questionnaires are designed for taking the qualitative data from decision makers. Two decision makers are selected from board of top management of Naresuan University. Two methods of Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) are applied. The first one is the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) teclmiques and the another one is the Preference Ranking Organization Method for Emichment Evaluations (PROMETHEE) techniques. Furthermore, Group Preference Aggregation (GPA) methods is included to fulfill the aims of this study. In the application of the model for this study, two software packages are used to carry out the results. They are : l. Expert Choice (EC) version 8.0, to employ the AHP techniques. 2. PROMCALC, to apply the PROMETHEE and GAIA principle. By using this model frame, a case study is Naresuan University (NU), Phitsanuloke, lower northern part of Thailand. Indeed, involved data are never stable or certain in reality. Extensive sensitivity analysis is then conducted to examine the validity and stability of the results. Finally, recommendations are summarized for the top management of NU and further study to improve the selection of campus location is performed to make the models more sophisticated and generalized. |
