Abstract | This study designs an information system framework for Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). NGOs have characteristics different from government and business organization. This study uses the Alternative Agricultural Network of Thailand (AAN) as a case to propose a framework. The framework is proposed by studying existing systems of business and government information systems and the characteristics and activities of the AAN through interviews, review of AAN documents and observation of AAN activities. The information system framework is based on two dimensions: AAN function and information type. The framework consists of five subsystems: Management Record-Based Information System (MRB-IS); Management Document-Based Information System (MDB-IS); Service Record-Based Information System (SRB-IS); Service Document-Based Information System (SDB-IS); and Executive Information System (EIS) which can be grouped into Management Support System (MSS) and Information Service System (ISS). This study proposes a framework for the present the system organization through system flowcharts and the sample output without implementation |
