AbstractThis thesis studied the possible use of infotmation technologies to improve business processes of a Thai securities firm. Analysis conducted on current business processes revealed a lack of an integrated information systems; mainly due to complex and ever changing rules and regulations related to the securities business. None the less, a technology was found to be useful for improving manual business processes of filling and approving an application for opening a new account. The chosen technology was intranet, which would later be migrated to the internet, because the cost of implementing intranet was virtually free at the time of this writing and most users were already familiar with the technology
