AbstractThis project focus on the optimization strategy of maintenance activities for mechanical, energy and automation majors in Joint Venture Vietsovpetro (VSP). By function of Mechanical & Energy Division (M&ED), all most maintenance activities in VSP will implement in M&ED. But in currently time, these above activities have an decentralizing model. All divisions of VSP have their own maintenance activities, so they need spent out the cost for equipment, manpower and workshop. Following current model, all member divisions of VSP are assigned the task of operating their specialized machinery and equipment while focusing on the development of their own maintenance activities, causing great waste due to investment in decentralizing, materials, spare parts and other annual operating costs: cost for manpower and management system are high and unregulated while specialization in performing maintenance activities are not high, cannot focus resources on facilities, machines, equipment and manpower. This project has been carried out and provides an overview of mechanical, energy and automation maintenance activities in VSP. Besides, the author has also performed analysis about the current maintenance activities to identify specific problems inside this structure. Based on analysis results, the recommendation is for VSP to optimize the organization structure, particularly, the strategy of maintenance activities for VSP. The proposal should be carried out through different stages and aspects to achieve the its goals.
