Abstract | Different database systems from different vendors are now available in the market. However, companies cannot just jump from one system to another to solve their needs concerning data. Thus, this study is done to show the possibility of integration of database systems. A Client/Server system is explained; how it works and what are its components. A sample of linking between Oracle and FoxPro and Oracle and MS Access is also cited. The possibility of linking FoxPro and MS Access is also included. With all these database systems linked and tested, it is shown how data can be shared even by two different database systems making it easy for companies and manpower alike to keep abreast with the changing world. |
