Abstract | Work-life balance is a state of balance between one's personal life and one's professional life and is a crucial part of Human Resource Management. The covid-19 pandemic has affected the work-life balance of people all around the world in some manner. Hence, the purpose of this research is to study and find out the effects on the work-life balance of the employees in Nepal's commercial banking sector during the COVID-19 pandemic and how they were coping up with it. The data were collected using a questionnaire-based survey among 396 employees who worked in commercial banks of Kathmandu. The questionnaires used in the research were adapted from different sources. In the study, five hypotheses were tested by using multiple regression analysis. All the collected data were analyzed with the help of the IBM SPSS software program. Cronbach's Alpha was conducted for the pilot testing, and correlation and hierarchical regression analysis were conducted for this study. The result illustrates that working hours and work support had the most significant effect on the employees' work-life balance. In contrast, family responsibilities and work stress had the least importance. Out of five hypotheses, only two of them were accepted based on results. In the end, both limitations and recommendations were given for future use and research. |
