Abstract | The project focuses on the organizational culture of an IT firm who have been providing international exposure to its employees through international projects. This project seeks to analyze the organizational culture that currently exists according to the perception of employees. This project seeks to identify the perceived organizational culture and to what extent that differs from employees’ preferred culture. Because of the ongoing pandemic Covid 19, I took recorded interview of twenty-nine employees through Zoom as the employees of the IT firm were working from home. Taking proper precautionary measures, I had visited their office and took pictures as a part of my research. The findings of my research were all the employees stated their preferred culture was clan. The reason the employees were working in this firm was its culture and the exposure they get to international projects. But their internal structure had hierarchical culture where the employees cannot reach upper level directly. All the decision needs to be approved by upper level. Few participants had stated that the firm has unequal division of workload and lack of co-ordination. Few employees also stated that there is no employee grading system so that they would be valued for their work. |
