AbstractAs Ball representation is better suited for design raising and lowing for rectangular surfaces while it requires less computing time for triangular patches, it is desirable to provide formulas for converting from Ball to Bezier representation and vice versa. For present study concentrates on establishing the relationships among the control points of Bezier rectangular patches, Ball rectangular patches, Bezier triangular patches and Ball triangular patches. Actually, the following results were obtained in this work: • General formulas to convert from Ball tensor product surfaces to Bezier tensor product surfaces. • A general algorithm to convert from Bezier tensor product surfaces to Ball tensor product surfaces. • General formulas to convert from Ball triangular patches to Bezier triangular patches. • A general algorithm to convert from Bezier triangular patches to Ball triangular patches. • An approach to convert from Ball rectangular patches to Ball triangular patches. Besides, Mathematica was used for the graphical representation of Bezier rectangular patches, Ball rectangular patches, Bezier triangular patches and Ball triangular patches.
