Abstract | Despite of enormous beauty, perfect climate and unlimited potentials, Nepal is suffering from the steady flow of skilled human resources to developed nation. In present condition at least one skilled member of family leaves a country in search of better opportunities. The demand for skilled manpower is growing every day. Developing countries are losing and developed countries are extracting skilled manpower in all over the world. With historically diverse and culturally heterogeneous group of people, Nepal is a country with patriotic people. Keeping aside this attachment, due to the lack of opportunities the number of skilled people leaving the country is increasing day by day. The migration impacts not only on the life of a Nepalese currently living abroad but also on the growth of small and developing country like Nepal. The study aims to identify the factors that lead the experts to leave the country and use their expertise somewhere else. Along with that, different variables that will be affected by brain drain are also analyzed. In doing that, this study mainly shows the relationship between brain drain and its impact on the sending economies. The study is based in the context of developing country Nepal. Survey questionnaire was used as research tool where 160 people responded. The data obtained from the questionnaire was analyzed in terms of summary statistics. Reliability analysis was done to test the validity ofthe questionnaire. Co-relation analysis was also added in the study to see the relationship between independent variables. Furthermore, multiple regression analysis was done for hypothesis testing which showed two out of five variables have a significant relationship with brain drain. |
