| Abstract | The main objective of this research study is to analyse the predictors of job satisfaction among male and female employees in an organization in the ready-made garment sector in Bangladesh. More specifically, the study seeks to identify to what extent quality of work life and job motivation affect job satisfaction of ready-made garment employees in Bangladesh and among these factors which factor has the most influence on job satisfaction. Quality of work life includes work place environment, safety, and security, teamwork and co-worker relations, working hours, workload and work-home life balance, salary and other benefits while job motivational factors are career growth, training and development, rewards and recognition, job feedback and worker supervisor relationship, employee participation, and open communication. In total, eight independent variables were tested to identify their effect onjob satisfaction. Employees of "XYZ Knit Fabrics" company were surveyed and data were collected through a questionnaire survey. Data were analysed using hierarchical regression analysis. The results found differences between men and women. For men, income per month was a significant job satisfaction predictor, while for women career growth, training and development significantly predicted job satisfaction. |
