AbstractEconomic liberalization and internationalization have created new challenges and competition for service oriented firms in Nepal. Management skills development by training is an emergent demand for service industries in the growing market economy. However, a useful training program should be based on the actual needs of the industry. The aim of this research study is to identify management skills that can be enhanced through proper training programs and their influence in organizational development. The approach made in the study in mostly quantitative in nature based on the findings of a general survey through questionnaires with 10 commercial Nepalese Banks managerial level. On the basis of the findings of the study, recommendations have been made which would serve as guidelines to the employees as well as to the management of commercial banks in formulating future policies for their developments.
