Abstract | This research study consists of a qualitative business strategy analysis, and recommends a specific action program for a consultancy company. In addition it examines the recent trends in the power generation market of Asia. These trends are important since they considered in the analysis and the directions for future changes in a consultancy firm. The case study is focused on SwedPower (Thailand) - a relatively new consultancy firm established in 1993 in Thailand. It is specializing in the field of electric power engineering. A fundamental question in the firm 's future is its ability to position itself and define a plausible strategic vision. Using the business strategy framework recommended by Hax and Majluf and Porter as a basis, new directions and business strategies are developed. |
