Abstract | In this research, the optimum training sequences are selected for the complex envelope and phase domains for the Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying (GMSK) modulation. It has been used the linear approximation of the GMSK modulated signal as time/ phase shifted amplitude modulated pulse. This signal can be built with good accuracy using only one optimized pulse. This property simplifies the inherent complexity of the representation of GMSK signal. By using the linearly approximated signal, it has been found out the optimum training sequences with the maximum main lobe energy to side-lobe energy ratio. These sequences have almost perfect autocorrelation properties. |
