Abstract | The objectives of this study is firstly to conduct a survey of China's trade and economic growth from 1980 to 1993. Secondly, to access technology transfer using trade as an indicator using U.N. technology classification. Countries selected for this study are USA, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, United Kingdom, and Russia. Results indicate that China is still a net exporter of Labor-Intensive and Natural Resource-Intensive products; and a net importer of Capital-Intensive and Technology-Intensive products. However, there are trends indicating that China's export of Capital-Intensive and Technology-Intensive products are increasing over time. |
