Abstract | This study aims at developing a comprehensive framework for the assessment of the sales department of the leading hotels in Bangkok. It can thus, be applied to both the developing county hotels. The framework is applied to the three of many leading hotels in Bangkok, namely-Holiday Inn, Shangri-La and Royal Orchid Sheraton. The conclusions drawn from the application of the framework revealed that the hotels in Bangkok do not have the ability to compete with the competitors because of lack of information. However, the initially proposed framework showed some limitations in the use of the given recommendations. Certain problems were faced due to lack availability of information and time constraints. But, the proposed suggestions include remedies to the problems and can definitely improve the existing situation of the sales department of the hotels. |
