AbstractThis study is carried out to design a Computerized Electric Billing System (CEBS) using an object-oriented approach. It includes a detail analysis of existing system requirements for developing a Management Information System (MIS) and computation of consumer bill. To develop the object-oriented design of CEBS, the information needed by the various management levels have been determined. Based on the requirement of CEBS various reports and f01mats are designed and implemented in object-oriented programming Borland C++ (version 3.1) under the frame work of object-oriented paradigm. Both structural and behavioral aspects are taken into account. Finally, a design for the computerized system is given and its hardware, software and personnel requirements are established.
