AbstractAn animation system is very significant in the scientific life, and also has a lot of technical applications. This thesis presents our working, experience in paralleling animation algorithms. Parallel algorithms allows the faster moving of an object which stored by DEM data on the computer's screen. Parallel algorithms is implemented on two basic functions of animation: shifting image and image rotation. The animation alg01ithms are implemented on the message passing architecture, that is a heterogeneous networking based on client/server model on Sun work-stations. Its running time is received and then compare to the running time results in single work-station in both functions. The evaluation performance of the system is considered as well
