AbstractRules and regulations of any organization are expressed in natural language that are often difficult to understand for a layman due to its ambiguity and vagueness. Logic programming is applied to represent the rules and regulations in order to eliminate these problems. A legal consultant system is developed to support the capabilities and suitabilitys of this approach. Rules and regulations of the Asian Institute of Technology about annual leave and medical benefits are investigated and implemented in a demonstration system.
