AbstractInfrastructure management contains a wide range of activities which are vital to the efficient working of country utilities and services. The importance of infrastructure especially transportation, to support the country’s economy and development. Developing nations are still struggling to evolve an infrastructure management structure for their railway transportation systems. A railway system combines several objectives such as provision of an adequate level of service and facilities. Railway service not only important as a mode of transportation for the public to reach their desire destination but also important to deliver the goods within or out of the country. The service quality and facilities of railway stations in Yangon are studied and examined in this study. In this study, the researcher mainly focuses on the service quality and railway facilities provided by Myanma Railway (MR) affecting to the passenger’s satisfaction in Myanmar. The data will be collected through the railway stations called Yangon Central Station. The targeted respondents will be railway passengers in the railway station. The researcher will conduct the closed-end questionnaires to the rail passengers. This thesis study aims to investigate the important factors of Service Quality and Railway Facilities in the railway stations in Yangon Central station, Kyeemyindine station, Pagoda Road station and Insein station. Secondly, the effect on passenger satisfaction in Myanma Railways of service quality and railway facilities are evaluated. Finally, suggestions for the enhancement of Myanma Railways services and facilities are provided.
