Abstract | The psychological contract refers to an employee's belief in joint responsibilities with their employer. It is a major management problem because it has the potential to influence employee attitudes and actions. This research is mainly focus on studying the influence of Psychological Contract in teamwork in Myanmar construction. Another focus is to study the factors affecting psychological contract in teamwork in Myanmar construction. Furthermore, it focuses on the development of a model of the impact of psychological contracts on collaboration. This research focuses on Myanmar's building project teams located in Yangon. Quantitative research is the approach used in this study. Engineers who work in building project teams are surveyed using questionnaires created with Google Forms. Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) analysis and correlation analysis are used in this work to fulfill the research objectives. Six dimensions of psychological contract were identified with 21 measurement variables to access the psychological contract (between employees, and between employers and employees) for analyzing SEM. The results remained five dimensions of psychological contract with 14 measurement variables. In this study, correlation analysis is used to examine the relationship between factors affecting of psychological contract and the groups of psychological contracts. The findings of this study are expected to assist construction teams in gaining insight into the variables that should be prioritized to strengthen construction cooperation through psychological contract. |
