AbstractThis study is primary focus to assess the level of the training need for management skill development in banking sector of Sri Lanka. Because there has been lack of information regarding level of training need for management skill development. Therefore, need assessment is identified, what are the management skills needed for training? After in-deep analyzes of the training need skill can be identified: professional management; direction; and delegations. Professional management included the communication skills, leadership skills, problem solving, training, hiring, planning, decision making, and performance reviews. These skill will be developed through training in banking sector of Sri Lanka. And also, can develop seminars and work-shop, coaching by the upper management, professional conferences, formal courses (degree programs and continuing education), special work groups and management development programs.
