| Abstract | DB4SPSS package is based on three popular packages namely dBASE IV, SPSS/PC+ and Harvard Graphics. It provides five major tasks. (1) File management: supports to create new file, modify file layout, add more data, modify data and delete data. (2) Forecasting system: supports nonseasonal ARIMA analysis, seasonal ARIMA analysis and exponential smoothing analysis. (3) Statistical analysis: provides descriptive statistics analysis, frequency analysis with bar chart, factor analysis and reliability analysis. (4) Report system: provides review reports, prints reports and saves reports. (5) Exit from DB4SPSS package: provides three destinations -- dBASE IV prompt, SPSS/PC+ main menu and DOS prompt. In summary, the package mainly allows the user to do time series analysis, questionnaire analysis and file management in a very convenient way. |
