AbstractThe spray comb Ltstion of torrefied wood slwries using a rwin-fluiJ jet atomizer was studied wi1h various concemratiom; of slurri es a1 d.iffereni air/fuel rnUos. High combt1s tion efficiency was observed. The viscosity of torrefied wood-w;ner slurries was found. to be pseudo-plastic.The viscosity of wrref.ied wood-diesel oil sluni es was found t.o be pseudo-plastic a! higher concentrations. An experiment.aJ study on droplet combustion reveaJed that the higher the concentrnLion of torrefied wood, the less is 1J1e flame appeanmce and Lhe longer is !he glowing period. In droplet combustion of wrrefied wood-water slurry. water evapornr.as first, leavi11g wrrefied wood agglomerate Io bum slowly with a hngnt glow.
