AbstractQuantification theory, which is a set of multivariate analysis techniques, is powerful for estimation and classification for categorical data, but it is not widely known. A survey of the theory is presented in the report. Based on the survey, a microcomputer based software package QTP is developed for the theory for pure categorical data. Details of the development of the package, along with its application samples, are presented. The theory could be extended to the mixture types of categorical and metric variables.
