Abstract | With the increase in the demand and the depletion of oil and gas, the significance of enhanced artificial lift and enhanced oil recovery came to be realized. Two graphical models have been developed for Thai-Shell's Sirikit field, which is producing by solution-gas drive below the bubble point. The graphical models are based on data practically available with companies in commercial oil field ventures. Twelve well completion's were analyzed. The first graphical model which is modified for exponential decline trends predicts the future inflow performance relation curves for wells with multiple pressure survey tests. FETKOVICH'S (1973) correlation was used to predict future inflow performance relation curves for wells with single pressure survey tests. The_ second graphical model predicts production phasing out time after optimization has been achieved for continuous gas-lift system. As optimization of the production system is involved, economics comes into consideration by default. This second graphical model gives the approximate time, when the production system has to be changed from artificial lift to enhance artificial lift. These graphical models can be used to predict the type, efficiency and capacity of the enhanced artificial lift method to be installed. |
