AbstractThailand's government plans to support the increase of EVs in 2025, 2030, and 2036 lead to load consumption increase problems. Several factors for EV daily load profile, including charging time, charging level, battery size, type of car, number of cars, and driving range. Thus, this thesis will study the EVs daily load profile in Thailand to mitigate power consumption increase. This study estimates the EV daily load in Bangkok and overviews Thailand in 2025, 2030, and 2036 by using Monte Carlo simulation, based on the 3 expected cases from 3 electric authorities studies and the recent case expectation from the National EV Board of Thailand. In addition, this study used Monte Carlo simulation for the forecasting strategy to sample the starting charging time charging level, battery size, and type of car to estimate the daily load demand of BEVs. The result shows that the maximum peak demand occurs in the newest case because there are many private cars in this case. Moreover, the result shows that the on-peak charging demand and the energy from charging demand is increase.; thus, the energy charging demand related with the energy total demand. Finally, well-to-wheel efficiency for EVs in Thailand is high because the significant generation resource is from the good power plant type’s efficiency.
