AbstractIn Rayong River Basin, many kinds of land use activities tend to damage the land, soil and water resources (e.g urbanization and industrialization) . In order to manage and improve the condition of the land and water resources it is necessary first to analyze the environmental factors . Most of the environmental factors except landform are available. Therefore, to get landform information, research has been done. Landform feature was mapped by using various digital image processing techniques for visual interpretation with the help of secondary indicators and this information was verified by field checking . Data on some environmental factors such as soil, geology, drainage, climate, etc were also available and digitized. Slope and Elevation maps obtained from topo and generated by ERDAS package. Finally, ARC/INFO was used in generating the land suitability classification map for reservoir site using GIS approach.
