AbstractThe main objective of this research is to determine what level of cultural awareness and preparation the Chinese expatriate managers have, what leadership style they follow and to assess the traits of the Chinese managers ' leadership, t he expectations, attitudes and beliefs. The study also examines differences between the Chinese managers and their Thai subordinates, concerning promotion policy and communication problems. To improve the Chinese managers ability to understand the role of culture in management and improve the technology transfer in Thailand. To recommend appropriate Human Resource Development strategies to the Chinese managers and Thai subordinates are proposed. improve the situation. This research uses the survey method to collect necessary data. The survey data was analyzed by using SPSS main frame and PC packages.
