AbstractThis study is based on the data collected from rice farmers in Pathum Thani Province of Thailand. Personal interviews of 79 farmers were conduct for evaluation of their power tiller use for different farm operations. The average annual use of power tiller was 490 hours and they were use only for agricultural purpose. On an average 251 hours were used for tillage operation, which is about 51% of t he total annual use of the power tiller. Another activities of power tiller were water pumping and transportation which is 40% and 8% of the total annual use respectively. The cost per hour and the cost per cropped area decreased with higher annual use. Repair of power tiller was done about 33% of farmers own repair and called on the local repair s hops for a b out 32%. About 63% of breakdown were related to the engine.
