AbstractThis study is to allocate the resources at new container terminal, Bangkok Port (Klongtoey). In the study, optimum allocation of transtainers was developed. The objective of the model is to allocate the transtainers in earlier period within the defined due date to meet the synchronizing of shore cranes and transtainers. Allocation of transtainers is done by considering requirements of queuing and transtainers availability in each period. In the model, there are two phases. Phase (I) was carried out to get the feasible input for phase II. In Phase (II), a zero-one pure Integer Linear Programming approach for solving resource allocation problem was developed. The Special Order Sets (SOS) were used for all decision variables. The programming model was solved by Professional Linear Programming System (XA package).
