| Abstract | Though information systems are widely used by regular organizations, not much effort has been directed towards the dynamic organizations like project management. Project Management is a field involving large volume of data and information. Development of information systems for project management should mean to handle those data and information for better performance of the project, which is the purpose of this study. The main focus of this study is on system design of an information system for project management, taking sixth power project of Nepal as a case study. The study is equally dedicated to modularize the developed project management information systems for applications to other similar types of projects. It is found conven.ient to use existing system analysis tools with slight modifications. So modified analysis tools has been used and they are proposed for use in other system analyses also. In addition, this thesis intends to introduce a new concept called Group Participation in Project Management (GPPM) on the basis of Real Time Project Management (RTPM) and Computer Integrated Scheduling (CIS). |
