AbstractAn economic study of two small scale integrated far m household were carried out. The objectives are to describe the farm household and to identify some f actors that influence the resource allocation of these households. To analyze the economic aspect, the enterprise budget was calculated and then two farm household Linear programming models were constructed. Several simulations were made by the L-P for different off-farm opportunities, labor availability and lumpiness of capital assets. The solution of simulation shows the importance of labor and capital for integrated farming. It can stimulate a lots of f arming activities and possibly greater benefit may come from providing water for household use and other personal activities. An important feature of the integrated farm is the increase in the value of labor who cannot leave the farm. In Northeast Thailand gathering, hunting and capture fishing are still important activities. The value will be reduced by the increase in off-farm opportunity. The integrated farming system can be complementing for hunting and gathering because they are activities around the farm. The function of the pond are quite important as multipurpose asset.
