| Abstract | The aim of this research study is to come up with a Computer-Aided Design of a Barrage. The system "BELI", as it has been named, includes the detailed design, analysis and graphics generation tools, supported by the current design systems available. The system is a conversion of an externally available program, upon which modifications have been made, to accept a wider range of input data, to be more user-friendly, effective and has been adapted to run in a personal computer. As an interactive program, "BELI" can be run easily by responding to the queries made by the system, which include, information on geology, topography, hydraulic, flow characteristics etc. The system can be easily utilized by personals with Civil Engineering or Water Resources background and can be of special help to designers. |
