AbstractThis study were carried out during September to October 1990. It provides an overview of the legislation and administration and the present sanitation/treatment systems in Malaysia and Singapore. Field investigation and interviews to the various government agencies were involved in order to collect information and data relating to the management system of domestic wastewater at the present situation in both countries. Based on available information from these sources, the existing legislation and administration systems has been evaluated. A detailed review of the existing sanitation/ treatment systems has been studied. Views and comments are summerized. Recommendations for future improvement have been introduced.
