Abstract | Bezier curves are powerful tools for designer to use in Computer Aided Design, particularly in creating curves having some desired behaviour. With subdividing and rendering curves, the method based on Bezier curve can be used for elevation and reduction of the degree of the curves. The nonrational and rational Bezier curves have been investigated in this work, and the computation using recursive and nonrecursive for both Bezier curve methods, has also been compared. The case of continuity arising after segmentating a curves or compositing several curves together has been considered. This continuity can be treated from two points of view, according to Parametric Continuity and Geometric Continuity. Needed formulas are derived for maintaining these two types of continuity. The related details are given in this work. |
