Abstract | Two relevant pesticides which are being used widespreadly in Vietnam are assessed for their risk to human and the environment, the first pesticide is a carbamate: Carbofuran , the second one is an organophosphate: Me thy l Parathion. Math~matical models for quantitative assessment of pesticide residue in food and in human body , a nd of economic loss due to the pest resistence are developed. Numerical examples for these models are a lso proposed. The present situation of risk assessment and management of pesticide technology a nd use in Vietnam is described. Based on this situation, options for the improvement in risk assessment and management are proposed. |
