Abstract | The objective of this study is to find out the best and efficient frame structure by comparing special moment frame, shear wall and braced frame. For this purpose 15th storied structure was modeled and analysis was done using ETABS-2020 software and using the codes for analysis BNBC (Bangladesh National Building Code-2020), ACI 318-14, ASCE7-16. The plan of building is collected from LGED, Bangladesh and the study was done the buildings were located in seismic zone II (Dhaka). The study gives a comparison of the SMRF, Bracing frame and Shear wall frame structure system under lateral load both seismic and wind load. The Brace frame is better response compared to the SMRF and Shear wall frame system by comparing natural period, displacement, story drift and overturning moment. |
