Abstract | Precasting concrete is a popular construction system due to several advantages. The connection component between the upper and lower wall panels is significant. It should be strong enough to effectively weaken common connections. There are many types of connection components, such as welding connections, bolt connections, and mechanical couplers. This study includes knowledge of grout lapping connection and testing. The grout lapping connector varied the lap length, size of steel pipe, thickness of steel pipe, and rebar diameter. There are tests under the tensile test that investigate behavior. The effectiveness of connection rebar can largely decrease the ACI-318 minimum required lap length, which is investigated in this research. The behavior and tensile loading capacity of grout lapping connectors under uniaxial load are investigated. The steel square pipe size, thickness, rebar diameter, and lap length are varied. The effect of changing each parameter on the steel square pipe sleeve confinement of the connector under tensile capacity will be studied. The square pipe sleeve confinement will be compared and discussed with previous research, which was the circle pipe sleeve confinement. The effectiveness of bar lapping length from this research will be compared and discussed with ACI 318. |
